Van Aire Skyport is a private, fly-in community located east of Brighton, Colorado, with a hard surface (asphalt) runway 3,688 feet long.

VFR operations only – Please follow standard non-tower airport traffic pattern procedures; straight-in apporaches are strongly discouraged.
NOTE:
Beware of public streets with vehicular traffic in close proximity to each runway threshold.
Important Safety Information
KDEN Class B Airspace
CO12 is located within 5 miles of Denver International Airport (KDEN) and within 1 mile of the inner circle of the KDEN Class B airspace, hence all CO12 traffic is restricted to the north side of the runway.
RWY 30 – right traffic
RWY 12 – left traffic.
Class B airspace overlies CO12 at 6,000′ MSL and is directly under the final approach course to RWY 17R at KDEN, hence CO12 TPA is 5,800′ MSL, DO NOT EXCEED THIS LIMIT.
NOTE:
A paved walking/biking path encircles the runway. The southside path doubles as a parallel taxiway. The northside path is NOT A TAXIWAY.
Beware of the possibility of vehicles and pedestrian traffic on the runway or south parallel taxiway.

Visiting Pilot Considerations
Non-resident aircraft use of CO12 is by prior permission only.
Visiting pilots are required to complete and sign a Permission and Indemnification Form prior to landing at CO12 (See Documents and Required Forms link below).
Van Aire Skyport Corporation and its residents assume no responsibility for unauthorized or non-compliant operations.
Noise Sensitive Area
There is a residential development located immediately south the Van Aire compound and light agricultural development with horses (which are easily startled) on the north side.
Please be respectful or our neighbors by adhering to published traffic pattern procedures and altitudes.
